My Top 5 Social Media Management Tools

Trying to manage and grow a strong social media community is challenging. You have blogs to write, graphics to design, copy to amend, and posts to schedule (or reschedule). There are just not enough hours in the day to do everything manually! You need to find the social media management tools that work for you.

It’s okay to need a bit of help to automate your content. I only stress that you DO NOT automate your engagement.

The below social media tools are affordable solutions that I use to manage my own personal brand and channels on a daily basis. I hope that you find them useful!

My 5 Go-To Social Media Management Tools

  1. Buffer (Content Scheduling)

Between Twitter Lists and the newsletters I’ve subscribed to, I come across many great articles that I want to share with my community on a daily basis. I like to read these articles first thing before tackling the daily to-do’s. Buffer allows me to set up timetabled sharing queues for all my social channels, and I add in my favourite articles to go out throughout the day. Buffer also shortens your URL’s for you. One less thing for you to worry about!

  1. Tweetdeck (Twitter Monitoring)

To keep track of multiple hashtags, profile lists and keywords, I use a Tweetdeck dashboard. With each having its own column, it’s quick and easy to scroll through important topics without needing to manually search each time. (It’s super convenient for Twitter Chats too!)

  1. TailWind (Pinterest)

I still prefer to scroll on Pinterest natively. I find the feed quite soothing. However, if I need to bulk upload content or specifically curate lots of content, Tailwind is the place I go to.

It’s quick and easy to upload lots of content in one go, whilst assigning them to the right boards, and to find relevant content to share through their ‘Tribes’.

  1. RecurPost (Evergreen Content)

I manage my evergreen content in RecurPost, (which is my cheaper equivalent to HeyEdgar). My blogs are set up to regularly publish to my Facebook Page, as well as the daily prompts for my Facebook Group.

However, due to Twitter’s recent crackdown on recycled posts, I can’t automate evergreen content on Twitter anymore. Bummer! (But at least it helps to keep these posts a bit more fresh.)

  1. Commun.it (Community Management)

With Twitter being my go-to channel, Commun.it is a great tool to manage replies and followers. This tool provides you with simple lists of new followers (and ‘unfollowers’), as well as suggested profiles to follow based on your interest, behaviour and mutual connections.

What I love most about it is the ability to easily see Twitter mentions that I have not yet responded to. It’s easy to miss something on a busy day, but I believe in always acknowledging every mention your receive. (With the exception of clearly automated posts, yawn.)

If you chose to upgrade to a Pro Commun.it account, please use my affiliate link!

All of these tools provide a variety of other beneficial ways to manage your accounts, and I encourage you to check them out and see what works for you and your needs. I’d also recommend tools like Hootsuite and Sprout. For big enterprises, I highly endorse Sprinklr as an all-in-one tool.
